The California project was given 8 Billions by DOT to build the first line from Bakersfield to Fresno. That project has been place on an indefinite suspension due to lack of planning and funding estimated to be exceed $77 B.

Why not Magnetrain? We asked for only $1 Billion to build the line from Barstow to the Las Vegas?
The Chinese invested 3 Billion to build a 19 mile Maglev Line in Shanghai and decided to invest in High Speed Rail instead. In 10 years they have built 16,700 miles.

They are making progress like US in the 1930s without EPA, DOT etc.
We built highways and dams.
Magnetrain did go to Hawaii to meet the people who were interested in Maglev Technology. They decided to go for an elevated Train. Today that project is being hampered by lack of funding for an over priced project.
