Promise Christian University began in the fellowship hall of the Covina Nazarene Church as a Bible college that would assist pastors and ministers of independent local churches achieve their degree in Theology and Ministry.

Today, as a Religious Exempt Educational Institution, Promise Christian University has trained over 90 Chaplains and 729 graduates who are working in His harvest field in 21 nations.
Dr. Michael and Dr. Adelle McKinney's vision of encouraging, empowering, equipping, educating and inspiring the next Generation of leaders is coming to pass with the new Promise Governance Institute which is reaching USA, Asia and Africa with Biblical principles for good governance and godly leadership.
