Wisdom - Success InSight with Dr. Mike

"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." James 1:5 NKJV

As a young man in ministry, I had visions and dreams. I had lots of enthusiasm and motivation but I really lacked wisdom. Adelle and I began ministry with faith in God and faith in man. Later I realized that faith in man did not always turn out right. I needed wisdom. After many tests and trials, I realized like King Solomon I should have asked God for wisdom first.

Finding wisdom begins with the Cross of Jesus Christ. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. A good understanding have all those who do His commandments." Psalm 113:10

When we respond to the invitation to invite Jesus into our hearts and humbly ask His forgiveness for our sins and trespasses, a change takes place and we begin to realize that we have a greater purpose for living, and eternal purpose. With that God gives us a vision for the salvation of our family, for the study of His word, and eventually a calling even to reach out to others in ministry.

We realize when we ask God for His wisdom, which means his opinion, his advice and his direction on every matter facing us in our lives, He gives us understanding and with that comes favor, blessings and anointing.

So seek for wisdom. This is my first and most important Success Insight for living a victorious Christian Life. Seek Jesus! Seek His wisdom! Read His word! My continual prayer every day is for God's wisdom and grace. Dr. Mike McKinney
