Why Another Conference?

by Dr. Eric Giorgio, Provost and Vice President of Promise Christian University

PCU Governance Conference

Some might ask the reasons why we have this governance gathering. Why is it necessary to meet and network? What are the potential benefits? How will it affect our service to our nations? These are very pertinent concerns. Our purposes are varied and expansive. We want to bring heads of states and leaders together under the banner of godly principles of ethical and human ideals. The Apostle Paul wrote these lines. “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God” (Romans 13:1). If God appointed our leaders, He has the perfect plan to accomplish His goals through each and every one of them. Therefore, it becomes vitally important to come together at one place in a godly atmosphere of peaceful and meaningful exchange of ideas. Not to focus on our differences, but to bring forth pragmatic counsels from all participants to expand our borders and overcome challenges by the wisdom of our God.

Such conferences are not usually available. Most leadership meetings leave out the spiritual component almost entirely. This one is designed to remedy that shortage and put godly principles on the forefront. Joseph, Daniel, Esther and Deborah played very important roles in their ministries on governmental levels. We want to encourage, undergird, expand and provide usable resources from academicians and politicians to empower the present day leaders in our world.

God is still on the throne! He still uses committed men and women to achieve His plans throughout the whole earth. “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him ..” (2 Chronicles 16:9). Come and be a part of this graceful and wonderful Movement of Transformation.
